Goal

Setting up the first delivery service that provides early morning delivery of freshly cooked breakfast in Norway and expanding Brødboksen’s fresh foodstuff delivery ecommerce business from Oslo district to other areas.

Solution

Make the system and business ready for it: - automate the supply chain processes at the backend and supplier’s portal; - improve end client’s website performance and sustainability at high loads; - make system adaptive towards many devices and access variants. Our development team worked as a part of the international team of stakeholders and developers, participating in and initiating positive changes in system’s architecture; constantly re-factoring and optimizing system’s code and interface towards the scalability goals; and, most importantly, releasing business-vital features on the ongoing basis.

Features

The technology stack included Ruby on Rails 4; Boostrap; React.js; Haml; Coffescript; PostgreSQL/PostGis; Heroku. Synchronization of online ordering and inbound/outbound logistics.
